Dwarf Baby Tears is a low-growing, true foreground plant. It spreads horizontally across the substrate via a delicate runner network, hugging the aquascape contours perfectly. Beyond its unmatched aesthetic appeal, a healthy 'HC' carpet acts as an exceptional natural nutrient sink, heavily absorbing nitrates and preventing algae blooms. Its dense structure provides a secure, natural foraging ground for newborn shrimp fry and small nano fish.

🛠️ Lighting, Temperature & Maintenance Guide
Lighting Requirements: High to Intense (Full-Spectrum LED). To maintain its low, dense, carpeting growth habit and prevent the plant from stretching vertically toward the surface, 'HC' requires high-intensity, full-spectrum aquarium LED fixtures. Provide a stable photoperiod of 8 to 10 hours daily.
Temperature Parameters: Maintains optimal cellular growth within a stable tropical range of 21°C – 25°C (70°F – 77°F). 'HC' prefers slightly cooler, stable tropical water; prolonged exposure to temperatures above 28°C (82°F) can cause the delicate leaves to melt or turn yellow.
Substrate & Fertilization: Requires a premium, fine-grained nutrient-rich aquasoil. Because its root system is extremely shallow and delicate, dense substrate allows it to anchor firmly. Regular dosing of liquid iron, macronutrients, and consistent root tabs is highly recommended to sustain its vibrant green coloration.
Trimming Protocol: Once the carpet thickens to about 1-2 cm, regular trimming with sharp aquascaping curved scissors is mandatory. Keeping the carpet trimmed prevents the bottom layers from losing light, rotting, and lifting off the substrate.
